Dress Code

The Bancroft Look

UNIFORMS – The Bancroft Look

Bancroft’s Uniform Dress Code adheres to the Long Beach Unified School District’s Board of Education Uniform Policy. The district requires all students in grades K-8 to wear a uniform as identified by the student’s school. In cases of economic hardship, help in obtaining uniforms is available. Please contact the school office at (562) 425-7461.

Be sure to wear your school colors and dress appropriately each day. Students who come out of uniform will be asked to change. We offer clean, school appropriate attire. Changing before school begins will have no consequence. Students changed throughout the school day will be issued a detention. Students are expected to return the clothes they borrowed or they will be added to their fine list. Personal items left for more than ten (10) days will be donated to charity.

Free Dress Day

As an incentive we will have some FREE DRESS DAYS for students that earn it. On free dress days (that are almost always on Fridays) students are able to wear any color and can have patterns or designs on their tops. also students on a FREE DRESS may wear torn jeans (however we ask that the crotch area remain covered). All other District uniform guidelines apply. Students may not wear sweats, athletic wear, or PJs to school.
